The company operates its allocated mining leases for mine gas extraction at all locations of closed mines in the Ostrava-Karviná mining district. The company purchases excess mine gas from active mines that the mines will not utilise for their own needs. The company is engaged in survey, extraction, distribution and sale of mine gas, all on the basis of appropriate licences and authorisations.
In 2005 the company launched the combined production of electric power and heat from mine gas in cogenerating units with gas piston engines. The first successful installation was followed by a development programme of circa 30 cogenerating units located at both closed and active mines in the Ostrava-Karviná mining region. This long-term programme has become the key activity of the company.
Customer-based performance of in-mine boreholes at active mines in the Ostrava-Karviná mining district (Czech Republic) has a 40-year-old tradition. In addition, in the second half of the 1980´s the company launched the programme of drilling works from the surface. Even though the main volume of the works is performed in the Ostrava-Karviná mining district, our operation range covers the whole territory of the Czech Republic and reaches out to Slovakia – programme of boreholes for heat pumps.
Specializované inženýrské činnosti

Our experts solve complex issues concerning degassing and aeration of mines, mine geomechanics, geophysics, geology and hydrogeology focused at active and closed mines. Locations with closed mines benefit from the gas-prevention programme with the aim to protect the local population and buildings from mine gas emissions to the surface.
